Cookies and related storage are used on the Site to preserve sign-in state, remember region and currency preferences, understand how the catalogue is used, and keep wholesale-account sessions secure. This notice explains what is set, why, and how to control it.
Section 01
About this notice
This Cookie Notice explains how Grimaldi Tools Ltd. uses cookies and similar storage technologies on the Grimaldi storefront and the wholesale-account portal (together, the “Site”). It is intended to be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Section 03
Categories we use
Strictly necessary
These cookies are required to operate the Site and cannot be turned off without breaking core functionality. They support sign-in and authenticated sessions, secure form submission, fraud and abuse prevention, load balancing, and cart and checkout state. They do not store information used for advertising.
Functional
Functional cookies remember the choices you make so the storefront renders consistently between visits. Examples include display region and currency, density preference for table views, and the last-used filter set on catalogue pages. Disabling them does not break the Site but will reset these preferences on each visit.
Performance and analytics
Performance cookies help us understand which parts of the Site are used and which are not, so we can fix problems and improve the experience. We configure these tools to use first-party storage where possible, to truncate or hash IP addresses, and to de-emphasise unique-identifier tracking in favour of aggregate measurement.
Security and observability
Security cookies and event logs help detect and mitigate attacks, unusual session patterns, and errors. They are part of how we protect wholesale accounts and the integrity of the catalogue.
Marketing
We do not run third-party advertising on the Site at this time. If this changes, we will update this notice and provide an in-product control before enabling any non-essential marketing cookies.
Section 04
Third-party services that set cookies
The Site integrates with a small number of vetted third-party services for hosting, error monitoring, product analytics, mapping for the dealer locator, and payment. Each provider is bound by a written agreement that limits its use of the information it receives. A current list of provider categories is available in our Privacy Policy; specific provider names are available on written request.
Section 05
Your controls
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies through the browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the Site from working — for example, you may not be able to sign in or complete checkout.
For category-level controls inside the Site, look for the Cookie Preferences link in the footer once the in-product control is available. Until then, browser-level controls and the privacy tooling provided by the operating system are the most reliable way to manage non-essential storage.
Common browser documentation:
Section 06
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browser-based privacy signals such as Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are interpreted inconsistently across the web. Where the Site receives a Global Privacy Control signal from a jurisdiction that gives it legal effect, we treat it as an opt-out of any non-essential personal-information sharing that would otherwise apply.
Section 07
Changes to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice as our use of cookies evolves or to reflect changes in applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the most recent revision.
