Limited warranty

This limited warranty is given by Grimaldi Tooling Ltd. (“Grimaldi”, “we” or “us”), 12160 103A Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia V3V 3G7, Canada. It applies to Grimaldi products bought new from us, through grimalditools.com, our staff or an authorised Grimaldi dealer, and it is given to the original buyer.

The warranty lasts three (3) months from the date the product is delivered to you, or from the date you collect it if you pick it up.

Cup wheels, grinding and polishing pads, blades, and other abrasives and consumables wear out through use, which is what they are for. They are covered only for defects in materials or workmanship that you report within five (5) business days of delivery, before the item is used.

We warrant that the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship when it is used normally, for the purpose it was designed for, and in line with its instructions, labels and rated limits.

The warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

• normal wear, including the wear of cup wheels, pads, blades, squeegee rubber, roller covers, spikes, filters and other consumables and abrasives;
• misuse, abuse, accident, neglect or use for a purpose the product was not designed for;
• running a wheel, pad or tool above its rated speed (RPM), or on a machine whose speed exceeds that rating;
• using a grinding wheel without the correct guard, or with a guard, adapter or backing plate not meant for it;
• improper mounting, including a wrong arbor or thread, an unbalanced or loose fit, or mounting a damaged wheel;
• modification, alteration or repair by anyone other than Grimaldi or someone we have authorised; or
• use with incompatible equipment, or damage after delivery caused by storage, water, chemicals or transport you arranged.

Cosmetic marks that do not affect how the product works are also not covered.

If a product has a defect covered by this warranty, we will, at our option, repair it, replace it with the same or an equivalent product, or refund the price you paid for it. A repaired or replacement product is covered for the rest of the original warranty period.

When we accept a claim, we pay to ship the repaired or replacement product back to you. If the product was defective on arrival, we also pay to have it shipped to us.

Contact us before the warranty period ends at info@grimalditools.com, by phone at (250) 580-4698, or through the contact page. Please include your order number, the product name or SKU, a description of the problem, and photos that show it. If we need the product back, we will give you a return authorisation (RMA) number and instructions. Please do not ship anything without one, as unauthorised returns may be refused at the warehouse.

We will tell you whether your claim is accepted within five (5) business days of receiving everything we need to assess it.

This warranty is in addition to your rights under consumer protection law, not instead of them. If you are a consumer, nothing in it excludes or limits the conditions and warranties implied by the British Columbia Sale of Goods Act and Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, the legal warranty of quality under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, or any other law that cannot be waived. Those rights may last longer than three months and may give you remedies this warranty does not.

For business buyers, and to the extent the law allows, this warranty is the only warranty Grimaldi gives on its products, and our liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.
